I’m computer literate, know windows…but not had microsoft office training. Is it difficult to learn?

Author: Like I mentioned Im computer literate,,,know how to use the internet, basic windows troubleshooting and such ,,,bu I never had microsoft office training. My new job requires me to use word,( I know that one), excel(never used it) power point..(only used to see presentations but never created one myself) Is it difficult to learn microsoft office?
They’re all intuitive to operate, but like anything else, finding the tools you want is down to experience and practice and reading the help. Or training. You won’t be able to do a thing in Excel unless you know about spreadsheets – if you’ve used a spreadsheet in the past or a different one then you’ll pick it up. There are loads of CBT courses cheap out there.
My girlfriend recently got interested in pursuing a career in hotel management but doesn’t know where to get the training/ schooling. She is not in the best financial situation and lives on long island New york. Anyone one know of any places where she can get this training/schooling around here that’s not expensive?
Community colleges offer a hospitality major. If she doesn’t want to go to school for training, though, some major hotel chains offer in-job training which preps you to move up to a managerial position, but even there they prefer some sort of degree in any given area.
Hi. I was wondering if anyone would mind sharing what they know about training classes. I have been training my puppy using books and a video. He is very smart and learns very quickly. I am interested in training classes, but if they just teach the same things he has already been learning, they wouldn’t be very useful. Thanks in advance!
Not only do they offer socialization, but they also know several different methods. So, if you hit a roadblock, the trainer can help you get around it.
Your dog will learn how to handle distractions, which are hard to get when you’re training at home.
Your obedience training school will also have information on other programs you might be interested in, whether it’s agility, freestyle, search & rescue, therapy dogs, etc.
You might also be surprised at how many human friends you walk away with as well!
I would like to do consumer-level computer training out of the large basement of my suburban home. I would also do onsite training. I would teach backups, file management, using malware-removal programs, MS Office, home networking, keeping kids safe online, basic hardware upgrades/repairs, using digital cameras/scanners/image editing, using the Internet better, etc. I have several years of experience teaching these things in a career college. I’ve found the career colleges to be a rip-off for students. I’m absolutely positive I could provide great training, I’m just concerned about the viability of this as a business.
The best ability to determine viability is your ability to market yourself. Can you recruit enough students to make it worth your while? How will your students know you exist? If you can develop a mechanism to recieve referrals, its a great idea.
